Big things seem to be happening at XL Recordings , with Friendly Fires kicking off their tour in a couple of months (November to be precise), and Adele’s album receiving phenomenal success; it feels like they have a billion things going on at the same time. Southend band The Horrors have produced a new album, “Skying” making it their 3rd studio album since “Strange House” back in ’07.
“Still Life” was the first single released from the album and offers a comeback to their hit “Primary Colours”. On first listening, the beginning starts off like an overly commercialized Coldplay song, but then you are hit with a playful punch of piano synths and Faris Badwan‘s soothing, almost psychiatric voice.
